The milestone marks a significant moment in the academy’s development and reflects the growing success of the Trust’s commitment to combining elite sporting opportunities with outstanding education and personal development.

The Three Spires Sixth Rugby Academy was established to provide talented young athletes with access to high-level coaching, competitive opportunities and academic support, helping students maximise their potential both on and off the pitch.

Academy Manager Matt Jones said:

"A trailblazer as the first player signed from our West Midlands college partner St Regis School, Elefio joined the academy programme as an Under-17 18 months ago and has developed rapidly during his time at the club.

His progression has been supported by the outstanding educational provision within Three Spires Trust and the access created through the school’s structured rugby timetable, which has enabled the academy to work closely with Elefio and maximise his development potential within a high-performance environment."

Elefio’s achievement represents not only personal success, but also a defining moment for the academy as it continues to establish itself as a pathway for aspiring rugby players across the region.

As Elefio begins the next chapter of his rugby journey with Coventry Rugby, the entire Three Spires community will be supporting him every step of the way.

This achievement makes the title even more impressive as we are the only state school in the league, compared against well-established college rugby academies. Our squad is also made up of almost entirely of Year 12 students, with only one Year 13, while most other teams are primarily Year 13 squads.

To win the division under these circumstances is a huge credit to our students and the Coventry coaching staff, and a real reflection of the culture and standards being built within the academy.

We also want to recognise seven St Regis (Tettenhall Campus) players who represented the academy on a Scotland tour during half-term, where they faced Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby. St Regis had the highest representation of any school on the tour – a fantastic achievement for the boys involved.
